Audio - Daily morning news bulletin keeps you in the loop

newsmic

Want to know what's going on in games news instantly? Too time-challenged to read our news? Afraid of written words? From now on we'll be bringing you the morning's biggest stories in audio form, meaning you're always in the know when you start your working day.

We've even stolen a 70s news soundtrack as background music, so you'd better listen to it.

The idea behind this is so you can instantly find out what's going on this morning without having to trawl through our amazing, but lengthy, 24-hour news output.

This is a bit rough - and I've got a cold, so I sound like a Beecham's advert - but you get the idea. It'll get better. We'll be doing these every UK morning from now on.

And yes, you'll be able to sub to this in iTunes soon.

Patrick Garratt is a games media legend - and not just by reputation. He was named as such in the UK's 'Games Media Awards', the equivalent of a lifetime achievement award. After garnering experience on countless gaming magazines, he joined Eurogamer and later split from that brand to create VG247, putting the site on the map with fast, 24-hour a day coverage, and assembling the site's earliest editorial teams. He retired from VG247, and the games industry, in 2017.
