AT&T's Vita 3G SIMs can roam internationally
Travelling outside your homebase of the good old USA, and want to spend a gazillion dollars to play your Vita? Sorted.
In a 3G Q&A on the US PS Blog, Sony revealed that AT&T's Vita SIM cards are equipped for international roaming.
Thankfully, it won't trigger automatically; you need to purchase a roaming specific top up before it starts eating your credit like it has the midnight munchies.
You can buy these top ups directly from the Vita, as with standard packages, and the pricing is as follows:
- $24.99 for 50MB in over 100 select countries
- $49.99 for 125MB in over 100 select countries
- $99.99 for 275MB in over 100 select countries
- $199.99 for 800MB in over 100 select countries
It's obviously rather more pricey than the at-home packs at 250MB ($14.99), 3GB ($30), and 5GB ($50) but just think of all the new near checkins. Tempting.
