Atomic Ninjas headed to PS3, Vita for the 'malevolently creative'

Grip Games has announced Atomic Ninjas, a 2.5D multiplayer platformer headed to PlayStation 3 and Vita in northern summer.

A post on the PlayStation Blog describes it as a cross between Fat Princess and Crash Commando; it has players offing each other using environmental hazards in seven arenas, and is said to reward "malevolent creativity" as much as twitch reflexes.

Each ninja character is portrayed in a delightful blocky style and has its own special ability, like invisibility, flying, or telekinesis.

The game supports several play modes including Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, Treasure Hunt and more - including team-based modes. It supports both online and splitscreen multiplayer, and even offline play against bots.

Although it's not clear if the title support cross buy, it does have cross save, and accounts will be automatically synced on the PlayStation Network.
