Atelier Shallie: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea shows off battle gameplay
Atelier Shallie: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea will bring the Atelier Dusk trilogy to a close next month.
New footage shows of Atelier Shallie's battle gameplay below. It should be familiar to fans of Atelier Ayesha: The Alchemist of Dusk and Atelier Escha and Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky, but there have been a few changes: Battle is now all about strategy and speed, but time management has been given the chop.
Outside of combat, players can choose between Shallistera and Shallotte, two very different protagonists, as they struggle to make a go of it in a dying world. Each character has different story lines and multiple endings.
A new Environment System means your resource collection habits have an impact on supply and demand, and adjusts difficulty to meet your level of skill, and a new quests system means the story is no longer linear.
Atelier Shallie: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea also introduces a fully controllable 3D camera to the franchise for the first time. It releases on PS3 in North America on March 10 and Europe on March 13. Japanese voice acting will be available as a menu option.
