Assassin's Creed Valhalla patch fixes a ridiculous number of bugs

The latest patch for Assassin's Creed Valhalla is set to go live any minute now, and Ubisoft has released patch notes revealing just how big an update version 1.1.1 is going to be.

Ubisoft's next update for the latest game in the Assassin's Creed universe isn't set to introduce many new features or much more content. Instead, it's geared towards tightening up stuff that's in the game already, and a massive set of patch notes sheds some light on what's being addressed in today's update.

The most notable fixes in the lengthy post seem to revolve around graphical bugs and glitches: you'll no longer be plagued by invisible NPCs, you won't get stuck in quest-specific costumes, and your arrow quiver won't magically empty itself for no good reason.

There's also a couple of changes to the UI; your Animus Pulse won't highlight dead bodies anymore, there will be more color-blind options, and interface elements telling you to pick up items you've already got the full amount of will be removed.

That's just the tip of the iceberg: there's an awful lot of changes coming in this patch. Hit the link above to read through them all.

As such, it's a pretty big patch in terms of data size. Here's a rundown of the patch size, depending on your platform:

  • Xbox Series X|S: 7.5 GB
  • Xbox One: 6.6 GB
  • PlayStation 5: 2 GB
  • PlayStation 4: 2-3 GB (varies by region)
  • PC: 6.45 GB
