Assassin’s Creed Syndicate - Best Skills for Evie and Jacob

It’s worth noting that some Skills are shared between Evie and Jacob. By that we mean that they can each choose to unlock that skill, while each character also has three unique Skills that only they are able to purchase. We won’t be focusing on the unique Skills today, but would highly advise that you ensure both characters have unlocked all three at your first opportunity. Just for reference, we’ve listed those Skills below.

Unique Evie Skills

  • Chameleon – Evie becomes invisible while in Sneak Mode.
  • Knife Master II – Evie can carry twice as many throwing knives.
  • Stealth III – Evie is less likely to be detected or heard.

Unique Evie Jacob Skills

  • Defense III – Jacob takes less damage from all sources.
  • Gunslinger II – Jacob’s counter shots are guaranteed headshots.
  • Mutilate II – Successful attacks bring enemies near death faster.

Note: We won’t be mentioning Skills that players will unlock automatically. This guide is intended to help you spend your Skill Points wisely. Below you’ll find a list of our favorite skills that either character can get their hands on.

Health Boost I, II, III

You’ll unlock the Health Boost I Skill automatically, but players will need to purchase Health Boost II and Health Boost III. Their usefulness is fairly self-explanatory – the more damage you can take, the less likely you are to die and have to restart from the previous checkpoint. Players who prefer in-your-face combat will definitely want to prioritize this.

Lockpicking I, II

This Skill falls under the Stealth branch, but players will want it if they plan to fill their pockets with money and the materials required for crafting gear. While most of the common chests are opened by simply kicking them, this Skill will let you open chests that have rare materials, as well as doors that might offer an alternate route through a memory.

Loot Takedown

This is the absolute must-have Skill if there ever was one. It allows Evie and Jacob to automatically loot an enemy whenever they perform a Stealth Kill of any kind. As long as your enemy is not aware of you, you’ll snatch up all their loot instantaneously when you kill them. It helps to ensure you have all the gear you need without visiting vendors constantly.

Stealth I, II

If you prefer to be unseen (which you should), these two Skills will help you maintain that low profile. The enemy will be less likely to spot you, and you’ll make less noise when you’re performing assassinations. It definitely comes in handy when you’re in the middle of several enemies and need to start quietly taking them down one by one.

Eagle Vision II, III

You automatically get the first level of Eagle Vision, but the second and third will provide you with a more comprehensive look at the world. First of all, Eagle Vision covers more ground, and secondly, it will show you enemies through walls, and even allow you to see the direction that they’re facing. This Skill is a key factor in remaining undetected during memories.

Scavenger I, II

This is another must-have for anyone that plans to see this game through to the end. In a nutshell, these two Skills allow you to find more money and resources in all of your random activities. You’ll notice this when you’re going on chest runs especially, and it will help to ensure you have what you need when it comes to crafting some of the more powerful weapons.

Defense I, II

The first level of this Skill will cause you to take less damage from melee attacks, and the second will stop you from taking a hurting from ranged attacks. Put them together (stacked with Health Boost II and III) and you will be in the fight long after you would normally be dead. This is a huge benefit if you start to run into memories where your level is not quite up to par.
