Assassin's Creed: Relevations PS3 to sport 3D
The recent batch of hands-on sessions with Assassin's Creed: Revelations have uncovered a number of new tidbits, including full stereoscopic 3D for the PlayStation 3 version.
3D support was noted by the US PS Blog along with a "Google Maps-like" satellite view, presumably the mechanism for the previously revealed fast-travel ability.
Ezio's new abilities apparently include the ability to use lutes as weapons; the master assassin has been able to utilise found objects like brromsticks before, but this seems to tbe the first time those damn minstrels have been good for anything.
It looks like you can bypass the tower defence-like sections if you choose; raising one of your assassin recruits to master level and assigning him or her to the tower will negate the need for Ezio's attendance. Assassin recruit abilities can be levelled up, too, with frequent use resulting in faster recharge times.
Revelations concludes the trilogy which began with Assassin's Creed II, farewelling both Ezio and Altair ahead of Assassin's Creed III. It release in mid-November on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and a PC version will follow.
Thanks, Shack.
