Assassin's Creed: Multiplayer Rearmed arrives on iOS
A mysterious new Assassin's Creed game has rocked up on the Canadian App Store.
Spotted by IGN, the listing of Assassin's Creed: Multiplayer Rearmed may be in error, as Ubisoft has made no announcement of the title and other regional stores have not been graced with it.
Played from a top down perspective, the game recreates the multiplayer experience of Assassin's Creed Brotherhood and the upcoming revelations in mobile format.
Four players compete in real time over 3G or WiFi, but a single player practice mode is available, as well as unranked 1v1 bluetooth matches. Game Centre, leaderboards, and achievements are supported, along with Facebook and Twitter integration.
Apparently exclusive to iOS, the app is free, but micro transactions can supplement your in-game currency collection efforts, allowing you to purchase items, characters, and abilities.
Personas from both Brotherhood and Revelations are available, and can be customised with blades, boots, belts and bracers, as well as the aforementioned, upgradeable abilities.
Control is all via the touch screen, with Ubisoft boasting of its advanced pathfinding. It's also pleased with its graphical achievements; environments include Venice, San Donato, Alhambra and Jerusalem.
