Assassin's Creed III multiplayer screenshots bring the impending pain

Screenshots for the multiplayer portion of Assassin's Creed III have surfaced. At first glance, I thought the lady had a hook for a hand instead of just packing one around. On further examination, it looks like a more rustic version of the Hookblade, but if I were to add a real-world application to it - I'd say it's exactly like the hook I use when dealing with hay bales. No matter- whatever it is, it looks painful. Game's out in October.
