Arslan: The Warriors of Legend coming to Steam - new trailers
The Heroic Legend of Arslan is determined to win as many fans as possible.
Arslan: The Warriors of Legend is a new Omega Force offering based on the latest anime adaptation of The Heroic Legend of Arslan, a Japanese fantasy novel series based n the Persian epic Amir Arsalan.
I had a look at it during TGS 2015 and enjoyed it very much - probably because the producer is a massive fan and has worked to faithfully recreate the anime to startling effect.
Anyway, in keeping with Koei Tecmo and other Japanese publisher's recent experiments with Steam, Arslan: The Warriors of Legend has been confirmed for PC release, day and date with the console builds next month.
Along with this announcement, Koei Tecmo made a couple of other reveals, starting with pre-order incentives: two original scenarios for free mode available as DLC, each of which offers players "the possibility to unlock some very special Limited Skill Cards, which will give them an extra edge in battle".
If you happen to be a fan of the property, you may be pleased to learn the game will include a stack of bonus scenarios based on the novels and manga, which were not featured in the anime the rest of the game follows closely.
Three more characters have been confirmed, too - Tus, Isfan and Zaravant. For some reason, this news was accompanied by trailers for Farangis and Gieve. Okay? Well, there's a general trailer there too. Enjoy!
As well as PC, Arslan: The Warriors of Legend is coming to PlayStation 3, PS4 and Xbox One, but only the PS4 and Xbox One versions will see physical release. It arrives in North America on February 9 and is expected in Europe on February 12.
