Arma 3 began the long journey to Apex this week.

Arma 3: Nexus dropped overnight, bringing a flurry of change to Bohemia's military sim.

One of the major additions is End Game 2.0, a refined version of multiplayer mode in which two teams compete to complete objectives while battling AI opponents. As well as overhauling Kavala, two more instances have been added - Feres and Zaros.

Bohemia has been toiling away behind the scenes on End Game, too, making architecture and performance improvements. This work will continue through future updates. You'll notice extra lobby slots for spectator mode now, too.

Elsewhere, you'll find changes to personal protection and stamina mechanics, and better support for modders.

Finally, Arma 3 Units has gone live. It's a community service assisting players in finding groups, and will be expanded over the next few updates.

You can read more about the update's goals on the Arma 3 website, or feel free to go pore over the full patch notes on the Arma dev site.

Part of a broader overhaul of Arma 3 as a platform, Nexus is the first of three announced updates, the last of which will include a major content expansion.
