ArenaNet to reveal new Guild Wars 2 demo and PvP at gamescom

ArenaNet's Martin Kerstein has the firm will show off not only all seven Guild Wars 2 professions at gamescom next month, but the game's PvP mode, as well as an entirely new demo build.

According to an official blog post from Kerstein, the complete Charr starter, a mid-level demo with Orrian enemies complete with Sylvari and Asura playable characters, and character customization will all be experienced by those who stop by the NCsoft booth at the event.

Players will also be able to watch exhibition matches between the developers and selected players, and there will even be a costume competition held on Sunday, August 21.

Sounds very exciting to us.

NCsoft will be holding a press briefing at gamescom on August 17, and a “world exclusive” announcement has been promised for the event. No word yet on whether it's Guild Wars 2 related or not, but here's hoping it's a release date.
