Arekkz plays through the first story mission of Destiny 2 Forsaken
Arekkz's latest hands-on preview of Destiny 2: Forsaken shows off the entire first mission of its story campaign.
Destiny 2's Forsaken expansion is out tomorrow, and perhaps you're still waffling over whether a preorder is worth it. Thankfully, Arekkz is here with a last-minute hands-on preview, presenting the first mission of Forsaken's story.
Now to avoid spoilers, Bungie hasn't allowed the use of any cutscenes, but there's a lot to enjoy in the video's 20-minute run-time. The mission is called "Prison Break", and follows your Guardian's visits the Prison of Elders when all hell breaks loose. It's a great opportunity to watch the Destiny 2 enemy races sow chaos, especially the Scorn Fallen faction. Unlike the Taken, which were basically re-skinned Destiny races, the Scorn behave differently enough to treated separately.
Arekkz's overall take is that Forsaken does a really good job of immersing players into the story campaign, even for players who typically grind through to reach endgame content. Since it'll be two weeks before the Last Wish raid arrives, that should be a good thing.
