Are cops in GTA 5 racist? Someone attempted to find out
As much as this may be a ridiculous claim on the outset, someone did indeed perform an experiment to see if cops in GTA 5 would react differently to each of the game's three protagonists.
YouTube channel The Game Theorists has conducted an experiment, for as much as we can call it that, to see if the response of police officers in GTA 5 would be different depending on which character the player was using, Michael, Franklin, or Trevor.
Here's the how it works: the experiment would dress each of the three characters in neutral clothes and bring them to three different police stations - and this bit is important. The player would then then approach the cops five separate times, in each of the three police stations.
The second test would let the player honk their car horn at the cops, five separate times, each as a different character. The final test sends each of the game's characters towards the cops five separate times, without doing anything to provoke them, except just holding a weapon. The Game Theorists recorded the results of all the tests and captured them in the video below.
