Apex Legends Season 5 Will Include a "Pleasant Surprise" For Titanfall Fans

It's probably not a Titan, sorry.

Apex Legends is built off the back of a universe established in the two Titanfall games developed by Respawn. It's only natural that players are going to wonder about established Titanfall figures entering the Apex Games, but Respawn has just hinted at something new for the next season of their battle royale game.

In the most recent issue of Game Informer magazine, a group of Apex Legends developers were interviewed about the possibility of any forthcoming Titanfall additions to the game. "There could potentially be a pleasant surprise for Titanfall fans in season five," said one developer.

So what could this special inclusion from the Titanfall games be? You can stop wishing for a Titan in the Apex Games right now, because Respawn repeatedly said no to including the giant mechs last year. An obvious answer could be a character from the Titanfall games joining Apex Legends, and one character that stands out is Kuben Blisk, the merciless leader of the IMC militia in Titanfall 2.

Apex Legends already has a ton of weapons from the Titanfall games. Guns like the R-301 and the EVA-8 Auto were previously featured in the Titanfall games before being included in the launch of Apex Legends early last year.

Whatever the case, we'll have to wait and see for the "pleasant surprise" to play out. There's no current start date for Season 5 of Apex Legends, but when it does launch, you can expect a new character, and new weapon as standard.
