Apex Legends update fixes Havoc exploit, removes Season 1 stats temporarily
This week's Apex Legends patch is here as promised.
This is a client patch, which means all Apex Legends players will need to download it before they can play. The change log brings a few welcome fixes, as the patch focuses entirely on addressing problems.
The biggest is a fix to a Havoc exploit that allowed some players to fire the weapon in full-auto and skip the charge-up. There's also a fix for a problem that caused players to end up on the wrong (high ping) data centres.
Outside of a number of crash fixes, Respawn has temporarily removed Season 1 stats from the game as it works on "some issues with it." This means you won't be able to view your past stats in Season 1 for now.
The team is also placing a much bigger focus on cheating in Apex Legends, especially in the new ranked mode. Respawn recently outlined some of what goes on behind the scenes that will allow it to quickly deal with cheaters.
