Apex Legends jumps to 25 million players and over 2 million concurrent, Valentine’s Day loot teased

Apex Legends' player base continues to grow, and the battle royale shooter has now reached an impressive new milestone.

Developer Respawn Entertainment has revealed that since the game's launch a week ago, over 25 million players have tried it across all platforms. The more impressive statistic, however, is that over the weekend, over 2 million players were logged in simultaneously.

The game has more than doubled both figures between last Thursday and the weekend, which is not something you often see in the industry.

In a blog post announcing the news, CEO Vince Zampella revealed that Apex Legends will feature some limited-time loot in celebration of Valentine’s Day on Thursday. It's not yet clear what sort of Valentine’s Day-themed loot we can expect, but we'll no doubt find out more soon.

Separately, Apex Legends continues to dominate all other games on Twitch, including Fortnite.

Respawn is currently gearing up for the launch of its first season and battle pass in March, which is going to bring new Legends, loot, weapons and more.
