APB Reloaded heading to PS4 and Xbox One during Q2 2015
APB Reloaded will indeed be heading to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One during late Q2 this year, which puts its release sometime around the end of June.
Reloaded Productions announced in September 2014 it was working on bringing the free-to-play PC title to consoles during the Digital Media Wire event in New York City.
The game will be published by Deep Silver and is in development at The Workshop Entertainment with support from Reloaded Games.
APB Reloaded’s console edition will be a free download and free-to-play on PS4. The game will be a free download on Xbox One for Xbox Live Gold members.
Players can earn items in game for free, and purchasable in-game gear, items, vehicles and customizations are optional.
The studio said last year it wanted PC players to be able to import their characters and purchases over to the consoles versions, but Sony and Microsoft were showing “incredible resistance,” to the idea. Negotiations were said to be underway on the matter, but the press release didn't state whether anything would be transferable or not. We'll send a mail.
The PC version of APB Reloaded has been installed and played by over 5 million PC gamers since its December 2011 release.
