Anthem quickplay bug is tossing low level players into the final mission of the game

Quickplay is currently sending players into missions willy nilly, regardless of their in-game progress.

The bug was flagged in a tweet to Ben Irving, Anthem's lead producer, explaining that quickplay is dropping players into missions that they haven't completed - including the game's final mission. Irving confirmed that this is a bug, although he didn't elaborate on when it would be fixed.

Players wanting to avoid spoilers might want to steer clear of quickplay for now, or they might find themselves in the same predicament as this unfortunate level 3 player who was thrown in at the deep end (via PC Gamer).

He confirms that he hasn't done the story for the game, and his squadmates tell him he needs to bugger off to avoid spoilers, in-between reviving him as he gets one-shotted. Skip the clip if you don't want to see what lies in wait at the end of the game, although it's only 30 seconds of gameplay, so depending on how precious you are about seeing endgame content, you should be fine to watch.

Irving did address another issue raised by a player who was seeing a significant drop in their health bar from time to time. According to Irving, it's a UI bug that is getting fixed in the day one patch, although other Twitter users maintain that it's affecting stats, and isn't just a UI issue.

It wasn't specified whether the same patch will fix the quickplay issue or not.

Another troublesome niggle that doesn't have a fix yet is seeing downed players waiting to be revived at the end of a mission, missing out on the rewards. Executive producer Mark Darrah confirmed that there's no solution right now, but that it's definitely a bug.

Anthem is out now for Origin Access Premier PC players. Xbox One and Origin Access Basic PC players have access to a 10 hour trial, and come February 22, everyone can finally play the full game in all of it's glory.

Although if Kirk's Anthem review is anything to go by, it may not be so glorious after all.
