Another industry veteran just joined Oculus VR; still think it's a fad?
Halo and id Software veteran Kenneth Scott is the latest high-profile hire at the Facebook-owned Oculus VR.
Scott's production credits saw him work as id Software's art director from 1998 to 2008, then he served as senior art director on Halo 4 at 343 Industries until earlier this year.
As of April 2014, he's now art director at Oculus VR, as revealed by the company itself:
It's interesting to note that Scott is helping to build the company's first-party content team, as it shows that Oculus is amassing a strong group to help build in-house games.
Why is that worthy of note? Well, while we've seen plenty of VR projects from modders and other teams like CCP Games with EVE Valkyrie, we're yet to see the full extent of what the tech-builders themselves are capable of from a game perspective.
