Anno 1800 not part of Uplay Plus at launch due to a technical issue

Despite Ubisoft promising access to its entire library as part of the Uplay Plus subscription, players were disappointed to find one game MIA.

Uplay Plus launched yesterday on PC. In its first few hours, Ubisoft servers were bombarded with requests, creating problems for many.

Things like double charges, being charged the full amount when the first month should be free and more are all issues customers ran into. Though Ubisoft has solved most of them, some still remain. When the dust settled, however, and fans started adding more and more games to their libraries, they realised they couldn't do this for Anno 1800.

Anno 1800 is the latest game in the series, released back in April to critical acclaim. In fact, Anno 1800 was the reason many subscribed to the service in the first place. After some confusion, Ubisoft clarified that Anno 1800 isn't part of Plus' offering at launch due to a problem.

"Due to technical reasons Anno 1800 will not be available on Uplay Plus at the launch of the service," Ubisoft wrote on its support site.

"We are working to make it available for players as soon as possible. We’ll provide a more precise date when we can."

This is likely still going to disappoint players, but at least the rest of the Ubisoft's games are accessible now.
