Animal Crossing New Horizons: How to Build Inclines
Inclines can be used to make cliff areas more accessible on your Animal Crossing New Horizons island. Here's how to build inclines.
Inclines are handy projects to build on your Animal Crossing New Horizons island. They allow you to easily access higher areas, making your day to day routine easier to deal with. You won't be able to build inclines right away however, and will have to unlock a particular building first. In this guide we'll walk you through building an incline, from picking the design, to completing construction.

How to Build Inclines
To build inclines in Animal Crossing New Horizons you'll need to open up the Resident Services building (more info here). Once you have, you'll unlock the construction counter. Sit down in front of Tom Nook and select 'Let's talk infrastructure'. You can then select the inclines option. From there you need to choose a design and then place it down where you'd like to build.

- Natural Ramp - 98,000
- Blue-plank Ramp - 128,000
- White-plank Ramp - 128,000
- Log Staircase - 168,000
- Brick Staircase - 198,000
- Blue steel Staircase - 228,000
- Red steel Staircase 228,000
Donating Bells to Build Inclines
To build an incline you'll need to donate Bells to cover construction. To do so, walk up to the construction worker in the area where you placed the project down and speak to them. You'll need to donate the full amount before the incline will be built. For a look at earning Bells fast, head here.
Will Others Donate to Build the Incline?
Honestly, not really. They may chip in a few hundred Bells here and there, but you'll have to donate the majority yourself.
Deleting an Incline
If you find that you would like to delete an Incline, head to Resident Services. Select the island infrastructure option and then choose to talk about Inclines. From here you can demolish Inclines.
