Amiibo support will be patched into Hyrule Warriors

Amiibo support is coming to Hyrule Warriors via an upcoming patch, Nintendo has announced.
At first I thought this had already been announced, but I got amiibo support for the hack-and-slash confused with support for Super Smash Bros., Mario Kart 8 and the upcoming Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, Mario Party 10 and Yoshi's Woolly World.
Nintendo hasn't announced when amiibo support of the Link figurine will be added to Hyrule Warriors, but it did say support for Mario Kart 8 wouldn't arrive until next year.
