AMD Radeon FreeSync support coming to Xbox One S and Xbox One X
Microsoft announced over the weekend AMD Radeon freesync support for Xbox One.
The tech will be supported on both Xbox One S and Xbox One X will be included in the spring update.
PC users know AMD FreeSync aims to help reduce screen-tearing and rubber-banding (or stuttering), but at present, only certain displays support the tech. This means users will need to use a monitor instead of a television set.
The aforementioned issues arise when the refresh rate of the display is out of sync with the system's output - in this case, Xbox One consoles.
Microsoft announced the tech tech during its Inside Xbox show. In it, AMD representatives spoke about the tech coming to the console. You can hear more about it in the video below.
Xbox Insiders that are part of the Alpha Ring will be able to test AMD Radeon FreeSync starting next week.
