Amazon's rumored Android console powered by Qualcomm MPQ chip
As you know, Amazon is rumored to be getting into the Android console market, and the rumor mill has ramped up production a bit more today thanks to a TechCrunch report stating the system could be using a Qualcomm MPQ chip.
According to the article, the chip is part of the Snapdragon processor line used in smart TVs and set-top boxes already in homes around the world.
TechCrunch's sources also state that Amazon has already approached various developers to create games exclusive to the new box and it's being speculated that the rumored console is the same one mentioned in a Wall Street Journal report stating Amazon was looking into creating a media box offering other entertainment services alongside games.
The console is rumored to be out by the end of the year.
