All Xbox One and Xbox 360 users can play online for free this weekend
Xbox users can play online for free this weekend regardless of Xbox Live status.
From now through Monday, October 9 at 11:59 pm PT, 2:59 am ET (October 10) Xbox One and Xbox 360 users can play any game they own online. Xbox Live Gold membership not required.
This will come in handy for those who wish to give the Star Wars Battlefront 2 open multiplayer beta a go until it ends on October 9.
Luckily, this also provides plenty of time to download the 13.2GB file on Xbox One.
If you happen to jump into the tester, here some quick Star Wars Battlefront 2 beta tips on the best class, loot crates, Starfighter combat and Star Cards.
Plus, everyone who plays the beta will receive curated Founder’s Crate filled with credits, an exclusive emote for Darth Maul, and a rare trooper Star Card to use in Star Wars Battlefront 2 when it releases on November 17.
Also, those who fire up Mixer Channel One or use the Mixer App on Xbox One during the free weekend have a chance to win one of many sci-fi movie giveaways by watch some of the top streamers livestream the Star Wars Battlefront 2 open beta.
If Star Wars Battlefront 2 isn't your bag, again, you can still play multiplayer for free all weekend long with your pals.
