Aion's anniversary celebrated with events, new game content
NCSoft have revealed that they're going to kick of a variety of different celebratory events this week in honour of Aion: The Tower of Eternity, which turns two in the US and Europe this week.
There'll be a ten days of in-game festivities, celebrations and contests under the banner of the Ascension Festival, which the company hopes will reward players who have stuck around but also entice others who have since stopped playing the MMO back into the fold.
Part of NCSoft's efforts to attract players who haven't touched the game for a while back is a 'Reactivation Celebration' - meaning users who haven't played for a while will be rewarded bonus experience, items and medals and exclusive quests designed to ease them back into the world of Aion.
Both the Reactivation Celebration and Ascension Festival are currently underway and will run until October 2nd and October 26th respectively. A major in-game update is set to land on October 13th, adding new PvP arenas and extra boss fights. The Aion website has all the in-depth details.
