Activision pushes for delay in Infinity Ward trial
Activision is seeking a 30 day delay to the Infinity Ward trial, which was expected to kick off later this month.
Business Week reports one of the publisher's lawyers only signed on last week, and wants extra time to get up to speed.
Lawyers for Jason West and Vince Zampella said any delay would be problematic, but Activision argued it would make for a shoter trial overall. The presiding judge has not yet ruled on the hearing.
A group of Infinity Ward veterans led by founders West and Zampella is suing Activision for unpaid bonuses; Activision has accused the pair of breach of contract for flirting with EA, voiding any obligations the publisher might have had.
The publisher paid out $42 million to affected employees yesterday.
