Activision confirms 130GB HDD requirement for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Modern Warfare Remastered

Yep, it's official.

Last week, the details on the back of the box for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare made their way online. Outside of the usual bullet points, the page revealed that we're going to need 130GB of free space to install both Infinite Warfare and Modern Warfare Remastered.

Activision has now updated the FAQ for both games to confirm that yes, 130GB is the space you're going to need to free up on your console.

Although the number is indeed big, especially if you've yet to upgrade your PS4 or Xbox One hard drives, the publisher explained why. Activision calls it a "high-end estimate" of the space required.

The 130GB figure is taking into account the size of both games, day one patches, and the remaining Modern Warfare Remastered maps due for release before December 31.

That means on day 1, the number will be a bit less than a 130GB. This kind of makes sense, but doesn't really tell us how big each one is going to be separately. One of the two is bigger than we're anticipating, that's for sure.
