Activision Blizzard appoints former Warner Bros. boss to board of directors

Longtime Warner Bros. executive Barry Meyer has joined Activision Blizzard's board of directors and nominating and corporate governance committee, GamesIndustry reports. Meyer left his former position as Warner Bros. CEO in March 2013, having been with the entertainment company in senior roles since 1971. Activision Blizzard's management is of particular interest because CEO Bobby Kotick and a few other major players recently purchased the majority of the publisher from its one-time parent company, Vivendi, granting it greater autonomy and independence.
