Acti always planned on Goldeneye 007: Reloaded HD releases
Surprised by the upcoming PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 release of Goldeneye 007: Reloaded so long after the Wii version? Activision plotted this all along.
Producer James Steer told Kotaku Activision had the HD version ticking over while the Wii release was in the works.
"This was working in the background the whole time while they were working on the Wii game, but it was very important not to disturb that team as they completed the game," he said.
Steer explained that the team focussed on a Wii game first to pay tribute to the game's fame as an N64 classic.
Because Goldeneye is so well regarded by multiplayer fans, Eurocom is including many additional features in the HD console versions - more maps, 16-player support, new, stealth-oriented modes, and new characters.
Goldeneye 007: Reloaded drops in northern Autumn.
