Ace Combat 7 trailer pops up after a year of silence, now has PlayStationVR support
Ace Combat 7: still happening, continues to have tickets on itself.
Ace Combat 7 was featured at PlayStation experience this weekend, a full year after we last heard about it.
The trailer above is the meat of the update, but here's one new bit of intel: Ace Combat 7 will support PlayStation VR with "exclusive features developed specifically" for the headset.
Although Bandai Namco hasn't ever said anything about anything except PS4, the press release sort of makes it sound like Ace Combat 7 may release on other platforms.
Apart from that, same old same old. Ace Combat 7 still has no release date beyond 2017, and the PR copy is all "most advanced warplanes ever developed", "photorealistic visuals" and "intense dog fighting action", liberally sprinkled with exclamation points. Actually, you know what? Let's hear some of it:
Leveraging the power of the newest generation gaming hardware, Ace Combat 7 will blow players away with the evolution of its graphics engine. Beautifully rendered cloud-filled skies and highly detailed cityscapes enhance the sense of unparalleled speed and set the stage for the most engaging aerial battles in the franchise’s storied 20 year history.
Personally I find it hard to get excited about planes but most of my passions make people give me side eye; wouldn't it be a funny world if we were all alike, and that. The fanbase seems to be over the moon about this latest Ace Combat 7 info drop.
