A City Sleeps is a music driven shoot 'em up from Harmonix
A City Sleeps is the latest from Harmonix and it will be landing on Steam in October.
The PC rhythm shoot 'em up stars a young woman named Poe who is a member of Silk.
This "ancient clan of dream exorcists" are able to enter the minds of those who are sleeping and then cast demons out of their dreams.
Poe is tasked in the game with rescuing the residents of SanLo who have fallen into "and endless slumber, and a never-ending nightmare."
In the game, music will drive the player's projectiles, enemy spawning, movement, as well as bullet patterns.
There is also something called the Idol System in which players will use Poe's ghost familiars to possess inanimate objects in the dream world. This will help you when faced with enemy hordes.
"The soundtrack builds as you leverage a range of both offensive and defensive abilities including AOE damage bursts, and healing bullets," reads the description. "Experiment with different ghost combinations to compliment your own personal play style."
You can read the full description on Steam. It sounds really interesting.
Since it sounds like a twin stick shooter, Harmonix rightly, and "strongly" recommends players use and Xbox 360 controller for Windows or equivalent.
A City Sleeps is available for pre-purchse for $12.74, which is 15% off.
