Ori and the Blind Forest fan-made co-op mod in the works

Ori and the Blind Forest is getting a fan-made local co-op mod.

A fan-made co-op mod for Ori and the Blind Forest is in the works, courtesy of modder Cruze Bear, although it's still a work in progress right now.

Cruze Bear has uploaded a gameplay video to his YouTube account showing two Oris traversing the Sunken Glades. Conveniently, they're different colours to avoid any confusion.

The mod also allows the Ori that falls behind (there's always one) to teleport to the leading Ori.

In its current state it looks like the leading Ori's death restarts both players from a checkpoint, while the second player can simply be revived if they die, but Cruze Bear says that this isn't necessarily indicative of the end result.

The mod is still "far from release" so the gameplay is very much a teaser of what's to come.

Ori and the Blind Forest got a Definitive Edition retail release on PC and Xbox One in 2016, while a sequel, Ori and the Will of the Wisps was announced at E3.

The sequel is set to release on Xbox One and Windows 10 in 2019.
