Prey: Mooncrash DLC announced along with three new modes, and a Digital Deluxe Edition

Bethesda has finally announced the moon-themed DLC for Prey alongside a free update, and the Prey: Digital Deluxe edition.

Prey: Mooncrash was announced during Bethesda's E3 2018 show and is available to download right now.

The DLC has been teased for what seems like an age, with the first clue appearing on the official Prey Twitter account back in March.

It was teased again in May, when the game's achievement list was updated with the lyrics to R.E.M.'s Man on the Moon. At the same time, the Reddit account for KasmaCorp - Transtar's rival - posted a snippet of what we now know to be gameplay from the trailer.

Mooncrash will see players take the role of Peter, a KasmaCorp hacker, in a rogue-lite campaign as he attempts to escape Transtar's secret moonbase. Additional characters are unlocked as you play.

Mooncrash also includes the Typhon Hunter multiplayer update that will release later this summer. The PvP mode will pit a group of human characters against one shape-shifting Typhon, similar to Evolve's format.

The DLC is available right now, along with the free update that adds three new modes: Story, Survival, and New Game+. You can pick up the Mooncrash DLC on its own, or as part of the Prey: Digital Deluxe edition.
