The 5GB+ Fortnite Season 7 patch is ready to download

The new season of Fortnite is imminent, and the latest patch - which weighs in at a hefty 5.3GB on PS4 - is ready to download.

You can’t play just yet, since the Fortnite servers are still down for maintenance in preparation for Season 7. However, we’d recommend loading up and installing this patch early; it might take a while depending on your internet speed.

Now that the patch is out in the wild, we can expect the Fortnite datamining community to share all sorts of fun tidbits in the coming hours.

We have pages already on the leaked skins that have been uncovered from the upcoming season so far, as well as the expected start time for Fortnite season 7.

It looks like there’s going to be a snow and winter theme - who would’ve thought - including an iceberg added to the map.

The showpiece addition in this update though, is Fortnite Creative. A brand-new mode that lets you make your own games using Fortnite assets. It’s only available to Battle Pass players in the first week of the season, but will make its way to everyone soon.
