3DS will be playable in June, says Nintendo
Nintendo's confirmed that 3DS will be playable in June, presumably meaning people will get hands-on time at E3.
"We wanted to give the gaming industry a head's up about what to expect from Nintendo at E3," Nintendo spokesman Ken Toyoda told the New York Times when asked why the company made such a surprise announcement.
"We'll invite people to play with the new device then."
E3 takes place in LA on June 15-17.
Nintendo announced 3DS yesterday, saying the console would allow 3D play without the need for special glasses and would release before March 2011.
Japanese reports yesterday claimed 3DS will use a Sharp screen and have "3D analog sticks".
