3D print your in-game characters with this Kickstarter project

Do you want a model of your favourite custom-designed in-game character? ShapeIt will 3D print it for you.

At least that's the goal should the project reach its $50,000 (Canadian dollars, not American dollars) target on Kickstarter.

The models are expensive though - from $39 for a small white figure without paint to $199 for a set of three. Figures come in three different sizes and materials and final builds will be as close to the original screenshot you submit as possible.

"During the final pass our artists may tweak the angle and position of some parts to make a stronger and more aesthetically pleasing final figurine," says ShapeIt.

"They may also need to add additional support elements to make sure that the print is stable. Be aware, that all figurines are hollow, so there will be some little escape holes usually at the bottom."

The other point to note is that the custom models are only exclusive to the Kickstarter campaign. If it's a success you'll then be able to order a model based on the games that strike a partnership with the company.
