Opening ceremony for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games featured game music

The 2020 Tokyo Olympics officially started today and during the parade of athletes, video game music was played.

The music kicked off with the theme from Athletes Dragon Quest’s “Overture: Roto’s Theme,” which was followed by Final Fantasy “Victory Fanfare,” Tales of series “Sorey’s Theme - The Shepherd," Monster Hunter “Proof of a Hero," Kingdom Hearts “Olympus Coliseum," and Chrono Trigger, “Frog’s Theme,” respectively (via Nikkei Asia).

But that wasn't all: there was music from Sonic the Hedgehog, Ace Combat, Kingdom Hearts, Pro Evo Soccer, and others.
