Rust Console Edition teaser trailer released, closed beta coming later this month

Double Eleven has given us our first look at console version footage for Rust Console Edition, showing off the game we'll be playing when the survival hit lands on PlayStation and Xbox later in 2021.

Rust’s lead developer, Double Eleven, has shared the first footage of what the game will look like on console, following up on an announcement that was made about a non-PC version of the game way back at X019.

Though we’ve heard precious little about the PS4 and Xbox One version of the game since it was revealed, it's nice to see some official communication after the game was rated by the ESRB back in January.

The trailer has appeared at the same as a new Twitter account emerged, which is entirely dedicated to the Console Edition of the title. Via the Twitter account, we've learned that Double Eleven is hosting a limited closed beta to test technical items including server stability that'll kick off from March 29, 2021.

Fans have been waiting to see what the game looks like on PC for a while now; the initial release optimistically had Rust Console Edition releasing sometime in 2020, but as per an announcement from the studio in December 2020, that was pushed into this year.

Players eager to see their virtual dongs brought to life via the magic of Xbox and PlayStation still don't have a proper release date to look forward to, but it shouldn't be too much longer now.
