Kena: Bridge of Spirits delayed to August, so here's a stunning trailer to hold you over
Kena: Bridge of Spirits continues to stun, even if we're going to have to wait a little longer to play it.
One of the highlight reveals from Sony's State of Play presentation was the new trailer for Kena: Bridge of Spirits, the action-adventure from Ember Lab. The trailer not only confirmed the new release date of August 24, it offered a much better look at the game.
After starting off with a brief overview of the story, the new trailer goes hard on combat, showing off staff attacks in close range, and from a distance. The effects on display really are the star of the show, with dense particles and destructible body parts. Gameplay seemingly revolves around bringing colour to the world and cleansing it of darkness.
The other star(s) of the show is the little cute bean-shaped animals called Rot, who accompany Kena on her journey and seem to come into how puzzles are solved.
Kena: Bridge of Spirits is available in two digital editions, standard and digital deluxe. The standard will run you $40, compared to $50 for the deluxe. The expanded version includes the digital soundtrack, a sliver skin for Kena's staff, and a golden skin for her Rot friends. Both grant you access on PS4 and PS5. As a pre-order bonus, you'll get a pack of celebration hats for the little buggers.
