Josef Fares will give you $1,000 if you get bored of It Takes Two
Well, someone's feeling confident.
Game director Josef Fares has said that he'll give you $1,000 if you become tired of the upcoming It Takes Two.
The developer made this rather bold claim during an interview with Game Informer, saying that it is very hard to become bored of the forthcoming release.
“That’s another thing that I can guarantee you with It Takes Two: It’s impossible, and quote me on this, to get tired of this game," Fares said.
"You can put this as the headline. I can literally give 1,000 bucks to anyone who says, ‘Oh, I’m tired of this game now because it doesn’t surprise me.’ One thousand bucks! I guarantee. I’ll give it to everyone who gets tired. But they have to be honest about it.”
Quite the claim, then. And, of course, no-one has ever lied in the pursuit of financial gain at any point throughout human history.
It Takes Two is the latest game from developer Hazelight, best known for Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons and A Way Out. The title once again sees the studio teaming up with Electronic Arts' EA Originals indie publishing label. The game was announced in the summer of last year before we saw the first gameplay at The Game Awards 2020 in December.
Fares isn't a stranger to making big, bold statements. Back at The Game Awards 2017, he said "f**k the Oscars," and has since explained that he wasn't on cocaine at the time like some people thought.
