Players can now stash 50% more stuff in Fallout 76

You can now hoard more rubbish than ever! Yay!

Folks roaming the nuclear wasteland in Fallout 76 can now store more items in their stash thanks to a new update.

Developer Bethesda rolled out The Inventory Update yesterday (January 26), enabling people to store up to 1,200lbs of goodies in their player stash. That's a 50% increase. In a video, the firm said that it hoped this would "assist you in your inventory management needs."

Meanwhile, Bethesda has made some user interface improvements to the Pip-Boy, specifically splitting player inventory into three tabs: New, Armour and Food/Drinks. The first shows the items most recently picked up by users, while the latter two split out gear and consumables into their own sections.

Furthermore, players are given details about how much a stack of items is taking up in their inventory. This allows users to quickly see what is going on and what it taking up too much space.

Finally, players will now be able to see the number of 1, 2 and 3 star legendary weapons that other users are selling via their Vending Machines.

Fallout 76 rolled out at the end of 2018 to a rather mixed reception, with Bethesda later saying it was surprised by the negative reaction to PvP in the game's initial release. Since then, Bethesda has worked hard to update the multiplayer title, bringing new Seasons into the game as well as Brotherhood of Steel content to Fallout 76 during 2020.

Bethesda has also said that the title's troubled launch hasn't stopped it considering making other multiplayer games based on its historically single-player IP.
