Xbox Games with Gold for January 2021 revealed

Microsoft has announced the four free Games with Gold titles available to Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Live Gold Ultimate members in January 2021.

The next offering of free games can be downloaded starting on January 1, when esteemed Bandai Namco horror title Little Nightmares and decidedly average King of Fighters 13 will become available on Xbox consoles.

As per Xbox Wire, Little Nightmares will be available to download and play all month, whilst anyone eager to get their hands on King of Fighters 13 will need to add it to their accounts before January 15.

Later in the month, from January 16, Capcom's first Dead Rising title and Namco's 2004 shooter curio, Breakdown, will become available instead.

Thanks to Smart Delivery and backwards compatibility, you can access the older titles on any generation of Xbox hardware and see them brought to life with the benefit of modern tech. Dead Rising with no loading times? Yes, please!

Here's a breakdown of when each game will become available:

  • Little Nightmares ($19.99 ERP): Available January 1 to 31
  • Dead Rising ($19.99 ERP): Available January 16 to February 15
  • The King of Fighters 13 ($29.99 ERP): Available January 1 to 15
  • Breakdown ($9.99 ERP): Available January 16 to 31

It's a good time for Xbox to be offering up Little Nightmares, too: Little Nightmares 2 comes out on February 11 on PC and consoles.

Heading into the new year, Microsoft's generous new members offer for Xbox Live Gold is still active: If you’re new, or if you’re an existing Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass for Console member, you can join or upgrade today for just $1.
