Nioh 2 is coming to PC and PS5, with support for 4K 120fps
Looking for something to scratch that Demon's Souls itch?
Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja's samurai-themed action RPG Nioh 2 is launching on both PC and PlayStation 5 next year.
A Complete Edition version of the game contains the base release, as well as its three DLC expansions, and supports 4K resolution and 120 frames-per-second. It's set for a February 5, 2021 release date.
Meanwhile, Nioh Remastered is coming to PlayStation 5 alongside the Nioh Collection which – as the name suggests – features updated versions of both entries in the series and come with the same aforementioned technical bumps.
If that wasn't enough, Nioh 2 – The Complete Edition is launching on PlayStation 4.
“We are extremely thankful to all of our die-hard PC fans who have patiently waited to play Nioh 2,” producer Fumihiko Yasuda said, speaking about the Steam version of the game.
“We are working hard here at Team Ninja to add the finishing touches to Nioh 2 – The Complete Edition, and are excited for you to experience this gripping masocore game with a wealth of graphical customisation. Ready your blades, and unleash your darkness – the formidable foes await you on February 5, 2021.”
Writing on the PlayStation Blog, the creative director of Team Ninja Tom Lee added: "While many of you may be sad to see the story of Nioh 2 arriving at its final chapter (I know I am), I’d like to thank all of our fans that have been by our side along this crazy journey from the release of the first Nioh right up until this milestone. On behalf of Team Ninja, I want to express our sincere gratitude for supporting the Nioh series and our team through this long and wonderful ride."
"As a token of our appreciation, we thought there was no better way to celebrate the Nioh series, one very near and dear to our hearts, than remastering the entire story for both veterans and new players alike to enjoy utilizing the latest hardware."
Nioh 2 originally launched for PlayStation 4 on March 13 of this year.
