Resident Evil 3: Cloud Version may be coming to Switch soon
A new datamine provides yet another hint that Resident Evil 3 may be coming to Nintendo Switch at some point in the near future.
As spotted over on gaming forum Resetera, a title screen for Resident Evil 3: Cloud Version can be found almost hidden away on the same site you need to visit to launch the cloud version of Control on Nintendo Switch.
After Nintendo announced both Control and Hitman 3 for Switch via cloud streaming yesterday in a surprise Nintendo Direct Mini, it's not really a shock to see more big games being lined up for the hybrid handheld/home console.
The image for the cloud version of the game can be seen at the bottom of this article, and it looks like the real deal, too.
This isn't the first time we've seen hints that Resident Evil 3 may arrive on Switch, either. Back in March, modders dug through the Resident Evil 3 demo‘s files and found a few lines of code suggesting that a Switch version was in the works.
Dataminer FluffyQuack found a set of notification messages referencing the Switch – alongside PC, PS4 and Xbox One – that seemed to suggest Capcom was planning a port.
Of course, we've not heard anything official from the publisher about a Switch version of the remake just yet, so don't get too excited.
But the evidence is certainly starting to mount to suggest a Cloud version of the game will arrive sooner, rather than later.
