Apex Legends Season 7 introduces a new map, a new Legend and more
Respawn Entertainment has officially unveiled Apex Legends Season 7, Ascension, which will arrive in-game with a new map called Olympus and a new Legend called Horizon.
It's been a while, but Apex Legends is getting a new map with Season 7. Details on the incoming arena are scarce at the moment, but EA and Respawn have at least given us a little bit of information in the form of a short blurb.
“Ascend to a beautiful, lush city in the clouds," says the teaser in the official blog post. "Just watch your step — it’s a long way down to the planet below.”
In the tweet embedded above, you can sort-of see what the map itself is going to look like – modern buildings and what appear to be skyscrapers appear to support more aerial zones for players to engage in.
We imagine Olympus (which takes its name from a mythological Greek stronghold in the clouds, no less) is probably going to be tricky to navigate. But, to help you out, Respawn is introducing The Trident: a vehicle capable of transporting your entire squad at once.
If that's not enough for you, Respawn is also adding in a new Legend: Horizon. The astrophysicist will make use of gravity-based abilities to dominate her opponents on the battlefield... but beyond that, we don't know too much about her.
Check out the trailer below for a nice introduction to this incoming Legend. Be warned, it's pretty emotional.
Apex Legends season 7 Ascension is coming to PC – via Steam, at long last – Xbox One, and PS4 on November 4.
