Troy Baker wants to be blown up in The Last of Us TV show
Voice actor Troy Baker has said that he would love to make an appearance in the upcoming The Last of Us TV series.
In a video on YouTube discussing the recent pictures of Nolan North visiting the set of the Uncharted movie, Baker – who played one of the franchise's protagonists Joel Miller – said that it was unlikely he'd be cast in this role in the television show, but he'd love to appear as an Infected and be blown up by whoever ends up playing him.
"The reason why I'm looking at [the Uncharted film] is it's a possible harbinger of what the HBO show for The Last of Us is going to be like," Baker said.
He continued: "I want to be an Infected and get blown up by Joel. That would be the best. Or the guy who's like Quint in Jaws, who's like: 'You think you're going to make it out of this?'."
HBO announced that it was making a TV adaptation of Naughty Dog's The Last of Us in March of this year. The show is being directed by Craig Mazin of Cherynobl fame while Naughty Dog's Neil Druckmann is writing and is an executive producer.
Mazin has said that the TV show is intended to expand the world of The Last of Us and will not "undo" the story seen in the series so far. The show will feature one "jaw drop" moment that was cut from the original games, which is intriguing.
