Ghost of Tsushima Legends' raid coming October 30, but won't support matchmaking

Ghost of Tsushima's Legends expansion is getting a big update next week.

Sucker Punch has announced that the raid for Ghost of Tsushima Legends, will arrive Friday, October 30. Legends is, of course, the game's recently released multiplayer update.

Legends' story mode includes several chapters, which will culminate with the raid in Iyo’s realm. It's called The Tale of Iyo, and it's itself split into three chapters. The Tale of Iyo supports four players, as with Legends' survival modes.

Unfortunately, the raid does not support matchmaking. Sucker Punch said that it requires full communication and coordination from players, which is likely why the option isn't offered. For now, at least, you'll need a pre-made group to be able to enter the raid.

The raid has a high KI gear level requirement of 100. If you played Legends, you'll know how tough difficulties well below this could get. Sucker Punch recommends you don't even attempt the raid until you're done with all story missions and survival scenarios on higher difficulties to get the necessary gear.

In a blog post looking at the first few days of release, the developer said that over two million matches were played though matchmaking. Sucker Punch also rolled out a small patch to address a couple of bugs.

  • Resolved a bug causing frequent Network Error pop-ups
  • Resolved a bug preventing the Platinum Trophy armour dye from appearing in New Game+.
  • Resolved a bug that caused some users to become stuck in the Legends tutorial.
  • Added support for PlayStation Network “Players Met” functionality to Legends.
  • Various bug and crash fixes.

Ghost of Tsushima will run at framerates up to 60fps on PS5 thanks to the console's Game Boost feature.
