Immortals: Fenyx Rising release date, first screens leak

We now know what kind of game Gods and Monsters - or as it's now called, Immortals: Fenyx Rising, is.

Following on from the rating board leak earlier this week, Immortals: Fenyx Rising has now reached the next logical step on the road to its official reveal: popping up on the Microsoft Store ahead of time.

The listing, which has since been removed, confirmed that Immortals: Fenyx Rising will be released December 3. The game will support Smart Delivery, meaning owners on Xbox One will find an upgraded copy waiting for them on Xbox Series X.

As these leaks typically go, the Microsoft Store page also included the game's full description, as well as a few screenshots. This is actually the most we've learned about Immortals: Fenyx Rising, as Ubisoft barely talked about the game since its initial reveal at E3 last year.

The art style also appears to have changed a bit. The game no longer has Zelda: Breath of the Wild's cool colour tones.

According to the description, this an open world action game featuring seven "unique" regions. You play as Fenyx, who's on a quest to save the Greek gods from some curse. Over the course of the game, Fenyx will be able to make use of iconic powers of the gods, such as Achilles’ sword and Daidalos’ wings. Combat takes place on land and in the air, and the leaked screens certainly show a little bit of that.

The story will see you fighting even more mythological monsters such as Cyclops and Medusa. There's also a puzzle-solving element, but the description doesn't go too deep into that.

All of this, and likely more, will be officially revealed at Ubisoft Forward next week.
